Public Notice of CCNE Accreditation Visit Invitation for Third-Party Comments

Granite State College will host a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) on-site evaluation of our nursing programs between Wednesday, October 16 and Friday, October 18, 2019. In accordance with CCNE accreditation procedures, Granite State College extends the opportunity to program constituents and other interested parties to submit, in writing, comments concerning our program’s qualifications for accreditation.

As a voluntary, self-regulatory process, CCNE accreditation supports and encourages continuing self-assessment by nursing programs and supports continuing growth and improvement of collegiate professional education. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Granite State College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and the master’s degree program in nursing is seeking initial accreditation.

As such, these programs have been undergoing a self-study process, addressing the CCNE Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs (2018). An evaluation team will visit the college to gather evidence that the self-study is thorough and accurate. The team will make a recommendation to the Commission regarding continuing accreditation for these programs. Following a review process, the Commission itself will take the final action.

In accordance with CCNE procedure, constituents of these programs are invited to submit comments related to the quality of the programs under review to CCNE. Your comments are considered third party and these signed comments concerning the accreditation process need to be received by September 25, 2019.
