New Scholarship Opportunity for Behavioral Health Majors

Network4Health and Granite State College Team Up to Offer Scholarship Awards that Support Workforce Development Priorities within the Behavioral Health Field

Granite State College and  are proud to offer a scholarship program focused on growing and strengthening the workforce within human services and behavioral health. Available to new and continuing Granite State College students, eligible majors include: B.S. in Human ServicesB.S. in Psychology, B.S. in Applied Studies Human Services and Early Childhood Development, and A.S. in Behavioral Science. Both full- and part-time students, scholarships are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are awarded in the following amounts:

  • Full-time: up to $1,250 per term
  • Part-time: up to $625 per term

“Network4Health recognizes that the cost of education can be a barrier for some in obtaining their degree, especially among adult-aged students who may be balancing their studies with a full-time job, family, and other commitments,” shared Geoff Vercauteren, Director of Workforce Development for Network4Health at Catholic Medical Center.

He adds: “These awards will help reduce this barrier and in turn, create a pipeline of qualified employees to fill critical shortages of behavioral health professionals in the Manchester region.”

“This initiative addresses a critical need for the State of New Hampshire and this partnership between Network4Health and Granite State College reflects our shared commitment to be responsive to the State’s need for competent, compassionate professionals in the behavioral health workforce.  Network4Health’s generous and strategic scholarship investment will support timely degree completion for our students and through Network4Health’s 43-partner organizations, including top health care employers like Catholic Medical Center, both our current students and our alumni will find meaningful opportunities to serve the citizens and communities of this State.”

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must reside in or work for an employer in one of the following communities: Atkinson, Auburn, Bedford, Candia, Chester, Danville, Deerfield, Derry, Goffstown, Hampstead, Hooksett, Londonderry, Manchester, New Boston, Plaistow, Salem, Sandown, or Windham.

Scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the academic year until all awards are granted.

ABOUT NETWORK4HEALTH AND CATHOLIC MEDICAL CENTER

 (N4H) is a 43-partner integrated delivery network (IDN) established as part of NH’s 1115 Transformation Waiver. IDN Region 4 is comprised of 18 communities surrounding Greater Manchester, Derry and Salem. The region has a total population of more than 320,000, however, the target population to be served is estimated to be about 48,000 individuals; more than 25% of the state’s Medicaid population.

 (CMC) is the agency taking the lead of partnerships. The N4H Partnership Team is composed of representatives of the CMC leadership team and one representative of each of the partner organizations. The N4H Steering Committee is the primary governing body for N4H and is composed of 12 representative leaders from the partner organizations and is responsible for guiding the day-to-day work of the network.
